Inspired by the Genesis account, this piece lingers on the quiet exchange between bird and the human hand. Its meaning rests not only in return, but in recognition: the homing instinct, the closeness pigeons have long shared with people, and the softness of a creature, which was uniquely designed to come back.

Historical evidence consistently shows that pigeons were the first domesticated bird. And interestingly, historical writings and articles have often referred to Noah as the first pigeon keeper.
